Project Background APTIM, as a prime contractor, is responsible to New York Department of Sanitation (DSNY) for continuous operation, maintenance, and facility management of the Landfill Gas (LFG) Production at the closed Fresh Kills Landfill, Staten Island, New York.
Job Overview:
APTIM currently has an opening for a Project Controls Analyst/Specialist at the Staten Island, NY location.
This person will provide the Project Team with a responsive resource whose expertise meets the needs of the project:
accurate cost control, reporting, and forecasting while contributing to the overall project profitability.
The Project Controls Analyst/Specialist will provide accurate and timely production, productivity, scheduling, and cost information, which allows the Project Manager and Client to be proactive towards, cost control and scheduling.
Project Controls professionals are APTIM's advocates for cost and schedule control through the consistent application of systems and procedures thereby ensuring compliance with the project budget and schedule constraints while maximizing returns to the corporation.
This person is to ensure tasks are completed in an efficient and effective manner and in accordance with APTIM Standard Operating Procedures and APTIM contract with DSNY contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Coordinating and overseeing the financial aspects of the project, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Document and explain all budget variances and ensure project forecast accounts for all vendor commitments and realistic production targets.
Ensure budgets are accurate in the company's financial system.
Track and report all client change orders and revised budgets in the company's financial system.
Track expenses and predict future costs.
Supports/Supervises the preparation of client formatted invoices, including organizing source documents, develops cost justifications, and tracks the collection of receivables Managing and procuring project resources, including third-party personnel, equipment, and materials.
Communicating with project team members, clients, vendors, and management, to ensure that project goals and objectives are met.
Tracking project progress and identifying potential issues or areas for improvement.
Prepares client and internal project/program status reports; coordinates report content from other project disciplines; prepares monthly internal revenue and margin reports; forecasts project billing and cash flow expectations.
Prepare Internal MPRMonthly Project Reporting Package Manages own time to meet agreed targets; develops plans for short-term work activities in own area.
Closeout support Providing support and guidance to project team members to ensure that they have the resources and information they need to complete their tasks.
Assisting in the preparation of project proposals, contracts, and agreements.
Ensuring compliance with APTIM contractual obligations, company policies and procedures, as well as industry regulations and standards Basic
Qualifications:
Minimum of five (5) years of relevant or accounting related experience Associate or bachelor's degree.
Understanding of the New York City, City's Payee Information Portal (PIP), is desirable.
Experience with JD Edwards ERP software Ability to coordinate efforts with project personnel.
Problem solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to multi-task.
Ability to identify and prioritize critical task.
Advanced experience in computer software applications such as Outlook, Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat Highly proficient in data entry and reconciling issues relating to costing and time entry.
Able to handle and protect confidently information.
Works independently with minimal guidance.

The targeted salary for this position is $80K-95K depending on experience and qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
