Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Undergraduate and Graduate Education:
Major study -- safety or occupational health fields (safety, occupational health, industrial hygiene), or degree in other related fields that included or was supplemented by at least 24 semester hours of study from among the following (or closely related) disciplines:
safety, occupational health, industrial hygiene, occupational medicine, toxicology, public health, mathematics, physics, chemistry, biological sciences, engineering, and industrial psychology. OR Experience in or related to safety and occupational health that provided the specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. Examples of qualifying specialized experience include:
Managing safety or occupational health program elements. Developing and recommending safety and occupational health policy to higher levels of management. Applying safety and occupational health laws, regulations, principles, theories, practices, and procedures to advise on or resolve technical matters dealing with occupational safety and health requirements. Developing safety and occupational health standards, regulations, practices, and procedures to eliminate or control potential hazards. Developing or implementing programs to reduce the frequency, severity, and cost of accidents and occupational illnesses. Analyzing or evaluating new and existing jobs, processes, products, or other systems to determine the existence, severity, probability, and outcome of hazards. Designing or modifying workplaces, processes, products, or other systems to control or eliminate hazards. Inspecting or surveying workplaces, processes, products, or other systems for compliance with established safety and occupational health policies or standards and to identify potential new hazards. Training of workers, supervisors, managers, or other safety and occupational health personnel in safety or occupational health subjects. Work in occupational fields such as industrial hygienist, safety engineer, fire prevention engineer, health physicist, and occupational health nurse. Specialized
Experience:
To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as work involving managing a safety or occupational health program; developing and recommending safety and occupational health programs or policies to higher level officials; interpreting, applying and/or developing safety and occupational health laws, regulations, policies, procedures or standards; evaluating existing safety programs or inspecting workplaces to determine possible hazards; applying safety and occupational health knowledge to reduce or control hazards; and/or conducting safety training. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service, GS-09. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
Safety and HealthSafety and Occupational Health (SOH) Hazard ControlWritten Communication The work requires some TDY, frequent walking and prolonged standing. Participation in field training exercises and accident investigations involves extended work hours and exposure to extreme weather conditions. The performance of work duties frequently requires inspections of installation shops, construction sites, offices, necessitating extended periods of walking and standing (including rough terrain), bending, stooping and crouching. There is a need to carry limited amounts (NTE 25 lbs.) of testing or personal protective equipment. There is a potential for exposure to hazardous and toxic substances and environment during inspections of firing ranges, workshops, construction sites and accident sites. During site visits, inspections, investigations, contingency missions and exercises incumbent will be exposed to toxic materials, high noise levels, explosives, radiation, dust, fumes, hazardous chemicals, and a wide variety of hazards normally associated with Army Reserve activities. The incumbent is frequently exposed to a wide variety of environmental conditions (i.e., cold temperatures, rain, snow, etc.). Protective devices and gear are often required when performing on-site work.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
