TECHNICS SL-23 FG SERVO TURNTABLE W SHURE CARTRIDGE/STYLUS Needs Belt for sale in Staten Island, NY
Technics SL-23 FG Servo Turntable acquired from the family of the original owner. I gave this unit a quick test and although everything works it needs a new belt(available on ebay for $12.00. I tested this turntable using a large rubber band for a belt and everything works as expected. Cuing raises and lowers to tone arm, all tone arm adjustments perform their functions, strobe is bright, pitch controls vary the speed, Shure M91ED cartridge and needle are good, speeds are accurate, etc. 45 Rpm adapter is included. Cosmetically very nice including the dust cover. The dust cover has the usual brush marks and a few light surface scratches. Plinth, platter, and tone are clean. All four feet are present and in good condition. As previously stated, this turntable needs a new belt to be functional. Belt replacement takes about 30 seconds if that much. Lift the platter, string the belt on the pulley and bottom platter and you're ready to go. Please view the auction photos. What you see is Exactly what you get. NO UNPLEASANT SURPRISES.
